Weather Reports

In Summer 2024, NWROC joined the Minnesota Ag Weather Network (MAWN), an initiative of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA). The new weather station was installed near NWROC’s North Farm, located about 1 mile north on Highway 75 N.

The weather data that NWROC has historically kept for almost 140 years will be kept on file. Historic weather reports are available through the U's Digital Conservancy. Monthly weather reports for recent years will continue to be available on this webpage.

The NWROC will continue to gather and report weather data to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service Cooperative Observer Program (COOP). NWROC has been gathering weather information since the 1800’s which contributes to the understanding of the U.S. climate and provides real-time information to support forecasts for NW Minnesota. NWROC observes data daily and reports the maximum and minimum temperatures, snowfall, snow depth, and 24-hour precipitation totals. We enjoy the collaborations with these organizations and plan to continue to be a good partner in sharing this important information.
