Sugarbeet diseases: Using 'good' fungus to fight 'bad' fungus

(May 2011) Could this be the year when Cercospora leaf spot, the most serious disease of sugarbeets, takes off? ... Studies by Carol Windels and colleagues at the University of Minnesota have shown that Cercospora spores, the source of infection, are produced most readily at temperatures of 68-79 degrees and relative humidities of 90-100 percent.
