9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Jerry Nordick Farm, Rothsay, MN
Strip Till is a conservation management practice that holds
tremendous promise for today’s farmer. It combines the benefits of
no-till and conventional chisel plow systems. Strip Till improves
your bottom line by improving profits, increasing water infiltration
and soil warm up, improving soil health, and reducing soil erosion.
Currently, there are 14 manufacturers committed to demonstrating
or displaying their equipment at the Expo. A hallmark of the day
will be the live field demonstrations throughout the morning and
afternoon.
The expo will also feature presentations summarizing the latest
research on managing cool soils & high residue, weed management,
economics, and fertility placement for strip tillage systems. A
special Farmer Panel during the noon hour will give attendees the
opportunity to benefit from other’s experience - See what these
individuals have done with strip till systems and hear them explain
why they made the change.
Activities will begin at 9 am and conclude at 4 pm. Field
demonstrations and research updates will be presented in both the
morning and afternoon. Lunch will be available for sale on site,
along with refreshments & ice cream from local 4-H groups
The Expo is jointly organized by University of Minnesota
Extension, North Dakota State University Extension Service and
numerous industry sponsors.
