Soybean Iron Chlorosis Scores Available Online
For the past five years, R. Jay Goos, North Dakota State University soil science professor, has been screening soybean varieties for resistance to iron chlorosis under field conditions. The project evaluates about 180 varieties per year, including commercial and university varieties. The results of the 2005 trials and the results for prior years are available online at

Corn yields in Minnesota have been excellent for the past few years and have exceeded the expectations based on weather and growing conditions during the growing seasons. We may begin to wonder if these high yields are now normal and should we expect them in the future or have they been blips on the yield profile?
