Pesticide Container Recycling Program

Now is the time to think about proper recycling methods of your empty pesticide containers. All pint, quart, 1 gallon and 2 ˝ gallon containers that previously contained crop protection chemicals are accepted, as long as they have been triple rinsed, and lids, plastic sleeve labels, and any auxiliary paper label booklets have been removed.

Locations for container recyclingTRI-Rinse grinding crews travel throughout the mid west in the summer and the fall months grinding the containers. The containers are grinded, washed, and reused as various products by other companies. Listed below are “shredding dates” for various locations around MN. The dates are not collection dates. Rinsed, clean, dry containers should be dropped off prior to the shredding date. Cooperating businesses/locations participate in the recycling program as a service to their customers. Businesses/locations must have a minimum of 1,500 containers to participate in this particular program. Other recycling programs may exist in your area, contact your County for more information.

For more information regarding this recycling program, contact:

Steve Pizzitola of TRI-Rinse, Inc. at 314-647-8338 or pizzy@tririnse.com or the identified grinding site.
